Hikers from the Association have planned to cleanup Bananthimari Hill on Saturday, 26th September 2015.
Hiking/trekking to the nearest mountains and forests is one of the popular outdoor adventure activities across the world today, since the thrill, the health benefits, and the sense of accomplishment it gives are just few of the reasons behind its popularity.
This adventure was once a passion for a youngster is now accepted by all age groups and people from all walks of life. The adventure travel is the trend now…
At the same time, the surplus increase in the number of people entering into the mountains and forests has adverse impact on the environment. Many trekkers & tourists leave behind non/less bio-degradable items such as plastic & glass bottles, polythene covers, wrappers, cigarette butts, even used clothes etc.
So, the commercialization of trekking trails and poor garbage dumping facilities across the mountains and forests have increased the garbage accumulation on the mountains and forests which is very dangerous to the flora, fauna and the environment.
The Association have taken the initiation to clean up the nearest hills and forests to avoid further destruction to the environment. If you are interested, please join our hands to keep our environment clean. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
